All about myopia: post 1

Myopia (near-sightedness) is on the rise.  In the 1970’s, around 25% of Americans were myopic.  Now, that statistic has risen to about 42%.   While genetics plays a role, other factors seem to contribute.  Studies have shown that children that spend more time outdoors seem to have have less near-sightedness that their counterparts.

Check out this link to allaboutvision.com to see a summary of these studies.
